My Approach to Wedding Photography
The MOMENTS
Most of a wedding day consists of moments…getting ready, the ceremony until the reception. I will not ask you to fake smiles or act out certain emotions. When moments are happening, I won’t be adjusting your dress, or your hair or telling you to look a certain way. I think you’re perfect just how you are and you deserve to be in the moment.
Capturing YOU & YOUR LOVER
When it comes to couple portraits, we could have anywhere from 15 minutes on your wedding day to two hours for an elopement in the woods.
I’ll guide you to be present by finding sensory experiences, like how your partner’s hands feel in yours or how it feels to take deep breaths together.
It can be easy to get stuck in your head and feel like you have to have it all together. I don’t expect you to show up with it all together, but just as yourselves.
Capturing the Wedding Party
If you have a wedding party (traditionally called bridesmaids/groomsmen), I like to keep it simple and quick.
Instead of spending hours doing different poses, we’ll get the essential smiling at the camera picture, do another pose or two, then let everybody go hang, so that you all can spend quality time with each other. Then my team and I will focus on candids throughout the day of your wedding party people - I know they’re important to you!
Film
I offer both 35mm, medium format and polaroid film for weddings, elopements, and sessions. Film feels nostalgic to me, a time when things were less fast-paced, and therefore the photos feel all the more meaningful.
INvestment
Wedding pricing starts at $6,500 - all pricing includes full day coverage & a wedding album.
Micro-Weddings & Elopements pricing starts at $550.
Couple portrait sessions start at $750.
